It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Byers Sr. of Montpelier, Virginia, who passed away on August 30, 2021, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Lee Byers and Amelia Byers; and his brother Fuzzy Byers. He is survived by: his wife Jean Byers; his children, Ricky Byers Jr., Robert Byers, Lesleigh Byers and Leisa Byers Claiborne; and his siblings, Johnny Byers (Sylvia) and Rosa Lee Byers. He is also survived by several grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
