He is survived by: his children, Michelle and DeJuan Coles; his grandchildren, Te'Mari Smith, Sequan Smith, Tashyra Coles, Deyuana Coles and Chase Corey; his great grandchildren, Messiah Smith, James Smith and Malani Plecker; his siblings, Barbara Houchens and Alvin Coles; his sister-in-law Delois Coles; his nephew Stuart A. Coles Jr.; his nieces, Katrina Gail Hendrick and Tammy D. Coles; and his close friend Sandra Rowell. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, a host of cousins, and friends.
