He was predeceased by: his parents, Clinton Rice and Arline Rice. He is survived by: his daughter Michelle Guy (Cabell); his grandson Taylor; his siblings, Hillman Rice and Borden Flint; and his nieces and nephews, Melinda, Lisa, Todd and Tiffany.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
