She was predeceased by: her parent Willie Harper; her grandmother Rebecca Harper; her mother Fannie Mae Harper; and her siblings, Willie B. Sanford, Wilbur Harper and Prince Harper.
She is survived by: her husband Benjamin H. Giles, Jr.; and her children, Benjamin H. Giles III of Norfolk, Virginia and Ruth (Clarence Saunders).
