He was predeceased by: his father Sidney Antonio Sylvain; and his grandson Beckett Jacob Riding. He is survived by: his mother Elaine Ruth Sylvain (Kelsea); his wife Heather Shades Smith; his children, Caitriona Sylvain Riding (Joshua) of Colorado Springs, McKenzie Sylvain, William Sylvain (Mycah) of Lexington, Ian Sylvain of Lexington and Conor Sylvain of Toccoa; his grandchildren, Evelyn and Eowyn Riding; his siblings, Luke Sylvain (April) of Lebanon, Aaron Sylvain (Barbara) of Tilton, N. H. and Melissa Brown (Chris) of Madison; and his father-in-law William "Bill" Smith of Charlottesville. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
