John H. Whitecotton Jr. Obituary
We are sad to announce that on July 27, 2023, at the age of 83, John H. Whitecotton Jr. of Monterey, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John H. Whitecotton and Leafy Whitecotton (Simmons); his half-sister Louise Helmick; and his brother Jimmy. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Whitecotton (Varner); his children, Mark Whitecotton (Carla) of Weyers Cave and Kathy Beverage (Dean) of Monterey; his granddaughters, Jessica Briggs (Jim) of Churchville, Jennifer Desper (Tyler) of Stuarts Draft and Lori Nelson (Abraham) of Churchville; and his stepgranddaughter Crystal Corzine (Jon) of Austin, TX. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandsons; as well as seven nieces and one nephew.
