He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Taft Sweitzer and Mary Catherine Sweitzer (Hammer). He is survived by: his wife Joyce Sweitzer (Bishop) of Monterey; his son Steven Sweitzer (Nancy) of Hot Springs; and his cousins, Pat Hammer, John Maynard Hammer and Scott Siple.
