He was predeceased by: his parents, Jessie Lee J. Doss, Sr. and Cathleen Pollard Doss; his sons, Jessie Lee J. Doss, III and Brian Christopher Doss; and his siblings, Brenda D. Mann, Linda D. Vaughan, Betty D. Enoch and Roger Dale Doss.
He is survived by: his wife Katherine "Kathy" Evans Doss; his sisters, Barbara Doss Goff (Link) of Ft. Worth, TX and Wendy Doss Moses (Bruce) of Altavista, VA; his granddaughter Kaylee Doss; his brothers-in-law, Nelson Evans (Carol) of Rustburg and John Evans (Robin) of Lynchburg; his daughter-in-law Marcy Doss; his granddaughter Trinity; and his close friends, Leroy Martin, Jimmie Meador, Wendy Coley, Tim Hise and Bell.
