He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Edward and Frances Hedrick Mullins; and his brothers, Clarence, Bobby Glenn, Roy and Jesse Mullins.

He is survived by: his wife Betty McGhee Mullins; his children, Davy Mullins (Jo Ann), Steven Mullins (Heather) and Sherry Whorley of Monroe; and his sisters, Marie Jefferson (Ronnie) and Janice Gibson. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
