He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Otis Sandifer, Jr. and Dorothy Arrington Sandifer; his brother Eugene Otis Sandifer, Jr.; his parents-in-law, Henery F. Layne and Nellie Clark Layne; his sisters-in-law, Estelle Layne and Jill Layne; his uncles, Billy Rosser, Bob Arrington (Barbara), Jim Little, Charlie Arrington (Della) and Denny Arrington; his aunt Peggy Arrington Tyree; and his grandparents, John Wesley Arrington, Jr., Reaver Gillispie Arrington, Eugene Otis Sandifer, Sr. and Willie Mae Brooks Sandifer.
He is survived by: his wife Wanda Layne Sandifer (Monroe); his daughters, Dara Sandifer Cranney (Forest) and Layney Sandifer Skinner (Lynchburg); his grandchildren, Hadley Karrington Cranney, Kelby Ryan Cranney, Greyson Quinn Skinner and Charlie Layne Skinner; his brother Greg Sandifer (JoAnne); his in-laws, Becky Gowen (Doug), Brenda Ward (Carson), Butch Layne, Winnie Layne, Bobby Layne (Kay) and Judy Layne; his aunts and uncles, Darilla Rosser (Rustburg), Iris Little, Bea Arrington, Pete Arrington (Dot) and Butch Tyree; and his nieces and nephews, Terry, Billy, Jerry, Angie, Kiston, Ashley, Lash, Mary Kay, Winfield, Kinsley, Brett and Alex.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Madison Heights Baptist Church (329 Main St, Madison Heights, VA 24572). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
