It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ray Guilford Mason of Moneta, Virginia, who passed away on September 3, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, James Edward Mason and Roxie Layne Mason; his wife Josephine Mayhew Mason; his son Tim Mason; and his stepdaughter Judy Shields.

He is survived by: his sons, Lendale Mason (Marcia) and Gregory Mason (Phyllis); his daughter-in-law Penny Mason; his close friend Frances Layne; and his stepchildren, Hilda Craft (Jim), Peggy MaCauley (Jim), Douglas Jacobs and Vicky Burley (Marshall). He is also survived by six grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, numerous step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren.
