It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joyce Henderson of Moneta, Virginia, born in Pulaski, Virginia, who passed away on October 12, 2022, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ervin Meredith and Allie Tickle Meredith; her husband Alvin Henderson; and her children, Charles Otis Dodd, III, Jeffrey Dodd and Rita Gail Dodd.
She is survived by: her children, Donny Scruggs (Donna) of Roanoke, Curtis Allen Hart of Tennessee, Joel Carter (Debbie) of Moneta and Donna Carter of Buchanan; her grandchildren, Joey Carter (Jen), Billy Joe Carter (Shana), Charlie Carter (Amber), Carrie Miller (Tommy), Donnie Jr. Scruggs (Chelsea), Joel Brooks and Cody Carter (Beth); and her siblings, Glenn Hardy (Helen) of Danville and Sylvia Harris of Crozet, Virginia.. She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
