He was predeceased by: his parents, Thelma Lee and Marshall Smith Burriss; his stepfather Toxie Hall Lee; his sister L. Diane White; and his daughter Sherrie L. Baker.
He is survived by: his wife Sandra Lee Burriss; his children, Tammy Salinas-Bentley (Juan) of Wellington, FL, Toxie Burriss (Jody) of Modesto, CA, Michelle Sampsell (Wade) of Nokesville and Christopher Burriss (Holly) of Warrenton; his niece Susan Hawkins (Kristian) of Gainesville; and his siblings, Nancy Young of Tarpon Springs, FL and Charles Lee (Marie) of Manassas. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; three great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Due to COVID restrictions, a celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date.
