He is survived by: his children, Zadean, Gavin, Elijah, Cameron and Sierra; his grandchildren, Julian and Gabby; his parents, Danny DeWitt (Karen Saunders) and Theresa DeWitt (Brad Enslow); his brothers, Steve DeWitt (Savannah Beckner) and Ben DeWitt (Ann Winifred); his grandmothers, Margaret DeWitt and Gloria Hammer; and his former wife Tara Himmel. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Rescue Mission of Roanoke's Recovery Program for Addiction, in Daniel's memory.
