With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shirley Jean Melhorn of Midlothian, Virginia, born in Hopewell, Virginia, who passed away on March 6, 2021 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Warren "Mel" Melhorn. She is survived by: her children, Larry Gilligan (Gail Gilligan), Glenn Melhorn (Beth Melhorn) and Wendy Wilson (Jamie Wilson); her grandchildren, Matthew, Zackery, Jessica, Jack and Tanner; her great grandchildren, Prim, Owen and Cody; and her pet Max.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation or the Richmond SPCA.
