She is survived by: her husband Leonard Dawson; her children, Stephanie Dawson Powell (Art) and Michael Dawson (Donna); her grandchildren, Alexis Dawson and Christopher Jarrette; her great grandchild Taylor Armstrong; her sister Rayetta Drew (George); and her siblings-in-law, Josephine Taylor and Horace Dawson Jr.. She is also survived by other relatives and dear friends.
