She was predeceased by: her husband Bert Stephen Bower Sr.; her son Alan Douglas Bower; her brother Richard Arlen Verlander; and her son-in-law William Troy Bailey. She is survived by: her children, Diane Bower Bailey, Bert Stephen Bower Jr. (Wendy) and Selena Bower; her grandchildren, Whitney Carver (Jeremy), William Taylor Bailey and Carsen Jonah Bower; her great grandchildren, Hayden, Haley, Jackson Whorley, Elora Smalley and Kinsley Carver; and her sister Sadie Maxine Verlander Singley (George). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to RACC or the American Macular Degeneration Foundation.
