It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan M. McDonnell of Midlothian, Virginia, born in Shamokin, Pennsylvania, who passed away on October 30, 2020, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Butts and Minnie Butts; her husband James Joseph McDonnell; her siblings, Fran Halkowicz, Leonard Butts, Flo Butts, Leona Duffy, Kelly Butts, Bobby Butts, Albert "Cookie" Butts and Jacquie Templin; and her brother-in-law Bobby Boylan.
She is survived by: her children, Linda Marcozzi and Jim McDonnell; her daughter-in-law GayAnn McDonnell; her grandchildren, Matthew Marcozzi, Andrea McDonnell, Ryan McDonnell, Michelle McDonnell and Heather McDonnell; her sisters, Marie Condron and Lorraine White; and her parents-in-law, Jean Boylan, Jack, Rita McDonnell, Joe and Millie McDonnell. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
