She was predeceased by: her husband Shannon G. Higginbotham Jr.; her parents, John Mays and Margaret Mays; and her sisters, Bonnie Smith and Patsy Harlow.
She is survived by: her children, Cynthia Smith (Mickey) and Keith Higginbotham; her brother James Mays; her granddaughters, Shannon Hurt (Travis), Amber Hunt (T. G.) and Olivia McCullough (Alex); her great grandchildren, Addalyn Ball, Brynley, Rowan, Emery McCullough, Hadley, Nora, Scarlett Hurt, Finley, Emily and Ben Hunt; and her close friend Daisy.
