She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Bywaters and Helen Bywaters; and her brother-in-law Hank Franklin. She is survived by: her children, Michele McTague (Matt) and Richard Reinecke (Heather); her grandchildren, Scottie, Ryan, Parker and Jordan; her sister Suzie Franklin; and her niece Katherine Seaberg.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the VCU Massey Cancer Center.
