She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Calvin Tyler and Ethel Tyler; her husband Robert Flournoy, Sr.; and her children, Debbie Melton (Johnie), Julie Aittama (Don), Robert Flournoy, Jr. (Debbie), Susan Pierce (David), Esther Sobkowicz and James Flournoy. She was also cherished by 10 grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
