He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Hockman and Hilda Hodson Hockman; and his children, Karen Lynn "Punkin" Hockman and Ralph "R. E.". He is survived by: his grandson Travis Hockman; his wife Sandra "Cookie" Hockman of Middletown, VA; his children, Kay Brown (Jeff) of Strasburg, VA and Cindy Hockman of Toms Brook, VA; and his grandchildren, Jessica Wallace, Josh Shifflett (Holly Ruggles), Dustin Hockman, Kaysie Hockman and Amber Edwards. He is also survived by three brothers; three sisters and one step-sister.
