He is survived by: his wife Kathy Whitsell Tharpe; his children, Danny Lee Whitsell II (Narissa Everhart), Jimmy Ray Tharpe (Jeannie), Tabitha Joy Molina (Marcos) and Krystal Gayle Tharpe; his sister Linda Hassenplug (George); his grandchildren, Amanda Marie Whitsell, Tasha Fay Tharpe, Keevon James Tharpe, Jamie Ray Tharpe, Javon Justin Tharpe and Aniyah Grace Whitsell; and his great grandchild Axton Ray Hutchinson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
