He is survived by: his children, Carol Butler (Walter) of Luray, VA, Julie Bernau (Alan) of Luray, VA, Heather Campbell (David) of Middletown, VA, Barry Keyser of Luray, VA and Jeremy Keyser (Tabatha) of Luray, VA; his grandchildren, Logan, James, Makenna, Joy and Joel; his siblings, Ron Keyser (Mary) of Luray, VA, Nancy Keyser-Bryant (Vance Bryant) of Stanley, VA and Betsy Munson (Steve) of White Post, VA; and his close friend Peggy Shrimpton. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests that expressions of sympathy be in the form of memorial contributions in memory of James D. Keyser to Arbor Day Foundation (arborday.org) or Blue Ridge Hospice (brhospice.org).
