He was predeceased by: his parents, John William Rhodes, III and Mary Margaret Richardson Rhodes; and his brothers, Walter Irving Rhodes and John "Bear" William Rhodes, IV. He is survived by: his sisters, Elaine Leonard (Donnie Leonard) of Haymarket, VA and Valerie Rhodes (Glen Collins) of Fredericksburg, VA; his niece Mary Leonard; his nephews, Donnie Leonard, Bill "Jody" Leonard and Paul Leonard; and his stepchildren, Christina Ortiz, Dreamer Marquis, Donnie Helmick and Randi Kline. He is also survived by five step grandchildren, one step great grandchild, as well as many aunts, uncles, great nieces and nephews and cousins.
