He was predeceased by: his wife Deborah Broadley Gale; and his sister Mary Elizabeth Gale of Green Acres, FL.. He is survived by: his children, Thomas Gale, Mary Gale and Debbie Freer; his grandchildren, Tyler Gale, Ben, Molly and Sarah Freer; and his great grandchild Briar Rose Gale.
