With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sylvia Sherwood (Melfa, Virginia), who passed away on September 3, 2021 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Maxwell Johnson and Emma Johnson; and her siblings, Tommy Johnson, Biddy Johnson, David Johnson, Phillip Johnson, Margaret Johnson and Nancy Fisher.
She is survived by: her husband Bobby Sherwood; her daughters, Karen Darden (Tim) of Melfa, VA, Bobbie Jo Whitaker (Joey) of Chesapeake, VA and Ann Pruitt (Jack) of Belle Haven, VA.; her grandchildren, Taylor, Hope Whitaker, Rachel Darden, Caleb and Noah Pruitt; her siblings, Ellen Turner (Allen) and Jimmy Johnson; and her sisters-in-law, Shirley Lewis and Brenda Cherrix.
In light of the ongoing pandemic, the family requests those attending wear masks.
