With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gene Childress of Melfa, Virginia, born in Kingsport, Tennessee, who passed away on August 11, 2020 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Hubert Childress and Emily Childress (Netherland); his wife Carolyn Jean Childress (Phillips); his children, Rob Childress (Julie), Shane Childress (Brandy) and Tonya Willett (Tom); his grandchildren, Robyn Childress, Rachel Childress, Kirsten Price, Jordan Willett, Sarah Childress, Luke Childress and Justin Willett; his great grandchildren, Owen Holloway and Ryker Price; and his aunts, Ruth Childress and Helen Boyd.
