He was predeceased by: his parents, James H. Bowman and Elizabeth Smith Bowman; his siblings, Mary Ethel Bryant, Randolph, Cecil, Charlie and Clyde Bowman; and his son Anthony Tyree Bowman.
He is survived by: his wife Marsha Anne Bowman; his siblings, George (Betty), Riley (Belinda), Edward (Charlotte), Henry and Hazel Burley (Bobby); his children, Gloria Bowman Kuykendall and Mickey Bowman; and his stepchildren, John Hogan and Susan Hogan Borum. He is also survived by Numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews that he loved dearly, as well as many close friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Meherrin Volunteer Fire Department or the Meherrin SPCA in his honor.
