He was predeceased by: his wife Virginia Louise Tolbert; his parents, Mack Tolbert and Ollie Mae Tolbert; and his siblings, Tony, Roger, Dwight Tolbert and Jimmie Mae Whitehead.
He is survived by: his children, William Curtis Tolbert, Jr. (Lori) and Sandra Jean Crumpton (Scott); and his grandchildren, Rebecca Anne Grim (Nick), Ashley Lynn Martin (Zach) and Benjamin Henry Crumpton. He is also survived by great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Monaghan Funeral Home Chapel (7300 Creighton Pkwy, Mechanicsville, VA 23111).
