He was predeceased by: his parents, Rufus Henry Sarvay III and Anne Hanky; his brothers, Rufus Henry Sarvay, IV and John F. Sarvay; and his son Michael Sarvay.

He is survived by: his wife Doris Beirne Sarvay; and his children, William Sarvay, Jr., Deborah Smith and Jacqueline Adams. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to Sandston Baptist Church or Tunnel to the Towers Foundation; 2361 Hylan Blvd, Staten Island, NY 10306.
