He was predeceased by: his parents, William E. Long Sr. and Lula S. Long. He is survived by: his wife Audrey C. Long; his children, Sheila L. Campfield (Victor) and David K. Long (Dianne); his grandchildren, Tracey Long and Courtney Long; and his siblings, Frances Morgan and Olyn Long (Mary). He is also survived by one niece and several nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Eastern Hanover Volunteer Fire Department, 8493 New Bethesda Rd., Mechanicsville, Va. 23116.
