He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Charles "Buddy" and Patricia "Pat" Dunn; and his uncle Edward Zollie Gilbert. He is survived by: his parents, Tom Gilbert and Robin Dunn Gilbert; his siblings, Jeremy Gilbert (Dani) and Kayleigh Gilbert; his niece Raina; his grandparents, John and Jean Gilbert; his aunts and uncles, Johnny Gilbert (Trina), Brenda Gilbert, Belinda Gilbert and Chip Dunn; and his cousins, Sydney, Lee Dunn, Ashley Cole (Brian), Reid Williams (Sandee), Daniel, Juliet, Scarlett and Austin Gilbert.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to the Mechanicsville High School JROTC.
