She was predeceased by: her parents, Mason Mitchell and Lillie Edwards Mitchell; and her husband Rocky Layne. She is survived by: her daughter Theresa L. Burton; her grandchildren, Hailey and Dylan Burton; her great grandchild Rocky Lee Burton; and her siblings, Cindy Miles (Wayne), Janet Campbell and Allan "Bubba" Mitchell (Debbie). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 4217 Park Place Ct, Glen Allen, VA 23060.
