It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Royal E. Wood of Mechanicsville, Virginia, who passed away on January 11, 2024, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Wood and Carolyn Bauer Wood; and his son Steven Wood. He is survived by: his wife Georgia; his son Scott Wood (Wendy); his grandchildren, Hunter and Katie; and his sisters, Susie Frith of Hampton, VA, Nancy Ritchie of Timberville, VA, Patsy Rooks of Hampton, VA and Linda Schuszler of Yorktown, VA. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
