It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rose Marie Wheat of Mechanicsville, Virginia, who passed away on February 17, 2023, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband David Wheat; her parents, Dora Smith and Julius Duke; her stepfather Otho Smith; her brother James Smith; and her pets, Lucy Mae and Luc.
She is survived by: her children, Carol Duke and Scott Wheat; her grandchildren, Sarah and Zach Herndon; her sisters, Faye Ward and Laura Hott; and her pets, Cali and Charlie. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
