He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Linda; his children, Madison, Alexander and Michael; his siblings, William Stewart, Nancy Snyder, Paul Stewart and Donald Stewart; and his parents, William Stewart and Alva Stewart. He was also cherished by cousins, nieces, and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to one of the following charities: NAMI, FaceIt Foundation, or Richmond SPCA.
