As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Raymond Edwin may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Holly Sawyer and Ruby Allen Sawyer. He is survived by: his wife Patricia; and his children, Susannah, Keith (Cheryl), Mark, Joelynn (Allen) and Edward (Whitney). He is also survived by nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Woody Funeral Home. A graveside service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Lebanon United Methodist Church Cemetery (8492 Peaks Rd, Hanover, VA 23069).
