We are sad to announce that on June 6, 2023, at the age of 85, Rachel Fitzgerald Smith of Mechanicsville, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Howard J. Smith; and her parents, Martin L. Fitzgerald and Tiney L. Fitzgerald. She is survived by: her daughters, Belinda "Sherry" Lipscomb (Mike), Theresa Walker (John) and Janice Smith (Randy); her grandchildren, Tonya, Shiela, Christian, Hannah and Eric; and her sister-in-law Jackie Fitzgerald. She is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to your favorite local charity.
