We are sad to announce that on July 4, 2023, at the age of 80, Phyllis Houchens Lumpkin of Mechanicsville, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Lee Houchens and Mazie Armistead Houchens; her husband Raymond G. Lumpkin; her son Leslie Ray Lumpkin; and her siblings, Alice, Ann, Mary, Ruth, Bernard and Robert.

She is survived by: her daughters, Vanna Atkinson (Chris) and Ronda Mathews (Mike); and her grandchildren, Lindsey Tyler, Korey Tyler, Fletcher Atkinson and Spencer Atkinson. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
