She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Walthall and Enid Smith Walthall. She is survived by: her husband Pat Howle; her children, Brad Howle (Laura) and Blaire Pitcher (Todd); her grandchildren, Eliza, Audrey, Grace and Addison; and her sister Linda Beck (David). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Children's Hospital of Richmond at VCU, 2924 Brook Road, Richmond, VA 23220.
