She was predeceased by: her parents, Granville Wayne Sample and Dorothy Taliaferro Sample; and her brother-in-law James L. Evans. She is survived by: her husband Allen W. Melton; and her children, Candith Bruner (Ian) and Chad Melton. She is also survived by 3 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.
