He was predeceased by: his wife Nancy Harper Rainey; his parents, Leonard Rainey and Almeda Rainey Pearson; and his brothers, Bart, James and Walter Rainey.
He is survived by: his daughter Monica Rainey Pearce (Kevin); his grandchildren, Reagan and Logan Pearce; and his close friend Shirley Winebarger. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
