She was predeceased by: her husband Clyde L. Hott Sr.; her parents, Luther Herring and Elizabeth Thomas Mundie Herring; and her brothers, Alton E. Herring and Luther Norman Herring.

She is survived by: her children, Alice H. Dow, Carolyn H. Spencer and Clyde L. Hott Jr.; her grandchildren, James A. Dow II and Elizabeth A. Spencer; her nephew Robert N. Herring; her niece Charlotte H. Haislip; her cousin Ronnie Mundie of Helmet; and her mothers-in-law, Ann Hott Massengill and Carolyn Hott Farren.
