Linwood Liggan Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Linwood Liggan (Mechanicsville, Virginia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 28, 2024 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As Linwood departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Linwood may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Linwood leaves behind.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Winder Liggan and Sarah Yeamans Liggan. He is survived by: his significant other Annie Catherine Watts; his stepchildren, Cathie Watts Howard (Bill), Deborah Watts Taggart and Richard Watts (Jennifer); and his friend Carolyn Frank. He is also survived by his ten grandchildren; his ten great-grandchildren.

A graveside service was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Immanuel Episcopal Church (3263 Old Church Rd, Mechanicsville, VA 23111).
