She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry "Bus" Thomas Cotter and Virginia Elizabeth Cotter; and her husband James Anthony Grippe. She is survived by: her children, Ann Abell (Mike) and Anthony Grippe (Stephanie); and her grandchildren, Ashton Luby, Hunter, McKenzie Abell, Luca and Sebastian Grippe.

Visitation was held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Woody Funeral Home - Atlee Chapel (9271 Shady Grove Rd, Mechanicsville, VA 23116). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Church of the Redeemer (8275 Meadowbridge Rd, Mechanicsville, VA 23116).

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Lewis Ginter Botanical Children's Garden in Linda's name as this was one of her favorite places to spend time with her grandchildren. https://my.lewisginter.org.

“Linda was one of the first people I met when I came to the Bluffs. Each day, as I checked my mail, she walked her dog past my driveway. A welcoming joyous smile that frequently burst into laughter, she always had something interesting to say. Often she talked about her children and grandchildren, whom she loved greatly--she was so proud of them! She settled right in to her new apartment, and "bloomed where she was planted". God bless you, Linda, as you blossom into God's kingdom!”
