He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Ownby and Katie Ownby; his siblings, Ruth, Pearl, Charles, Blanche, Priceilla and Marie; and his grandson Cody Hobson.
He is survived by: his daughters, Afton Ownby and Jessica Ownby; the mother of his children Brenda Ownby; his children, Cheryl Jessie (Ricky), Jill Campbell (John) and James Glenn (Robyn); his grandchildren, Josiah Laventure, Izak Akers, Elissa Ownby, Ariana Brooks, Caden Ownby-Long, Crystal Baker (Jason), Ronnie Motherhead (Rebekah) and Jeffrey Taylor; and his great grandchildren, Gabrielle, Emilie, Kevin, Chloe and Ronnie Jr.. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
