It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joshua Lineer Grimes V of Mechanicsville, Virginia, born in Portsmouth, Virginia, who passed away on November 2, 2024, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joshua Lineer Grimes IV and Donna Shockley; and his brothers, Mark Grimes and Johnny Grimes. He is survived by: his wife Kimberlea Grimes; his son Anthony Grimes (Kate); his brother Keith Grimes; and his stepsons, Eddie Worthington and Steven Worthington. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Portsmouth Boulevard Chapel (5201 Portsmouth Blvd, Portsmouth, VA 23701).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Joshua's honor may be made to Tunnel To Towers, one that was dear to his heart, or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
