It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janet Cook Holmes of Mechanicsville, Virginia, who passed away on December 17, 2024, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Janet Cook Holmes to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Vernon R. Cook and Ruth Tatum Cook. She is survived by: her children, Jon Hudson (Kelly Guthrie) and Jennifer Williams (Sam); her grandchildren, Dalton, Taylor, Holly, Spencer, Carson, Colin and Austin; and her siblings, V. Stuart Cook (Barbara), Vicki C. Trice (Bill) and Teri C. Robertson (David). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.

Visitation was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Mechanicsville Chapel of the Bennett Funeral Home (8014 Lee Davis Road, Mechanicsville, Virginia 23111). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
