He was predeceased by: his parents, Ellen V. Hampton and James Michael Jones, Sr.; his father-in-law John C. Cook; his grandparents, Augustas, Thelma Hampton and James N. Jones; and his uncles, Gus Hampton and Daryell L. Jones.
He is survived by: his wife Christy L. Jones; his sons, Christian D. Cook and Devon M. Jones; his grandmother Momma Almeade Jones; his mother-in-law Deborah Mulligan; his siblings, Tera Hampton, Greg Mealy and Michele Jones (Alton); and his brother-in-law John S. Cook. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 5th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Nelsen Funeral Home (4650 S Laburnum Ave, Richmond, VA 23231). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 5th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
